Class project to recreate a sign, I took inspiration from the Fallout game series. Used carpet padding, joint compound, newspaper, and Rosco paints. Done on 2’x4’ MDF.
Class project involving making a 2D drawing appear 3D. This in particular was an exercise in drawing out the column capitol, implying the natural curve of the column, applying the marble paint treatment, then applying shading and highlights. Done on 4’x8’ soft flat.
Class project on faux wood textures in paint. Image replicated to scale, wood glazes added in layers, added faux water damage, then scraped paint with a card to achieve chipped paint look, lastly added shadows and highlights. Done on 4’x8’ soft flat.
First scenic painting class project. Selected a marble to emulate the color and design of, drew in silhouette of cornice, added in three different details, then did highlights and shadows. Done on 4’x8’ soft flat.
