My first full length play, and the one that I am proudest of. Two staged readings have been produced of it since its inception in 2016 (one in 2016 and one in 2019), both directed by Macy Craig.
Teaser: “In a fantastical land far away from here, a power struggle caused a rift from our world to theirs, opening us up to the horrors of this other world. Dominick Greer will go on an adventure to rectify that problem with the help of his army of frat bros, and a magical sword (that he almost sold online).”
Featuring the short story: "Milton’s Monster Menagerie!: The Micro-Sharkasaur™ Edition”
I’ve had the characters in this story living in my head since I was probably around ten or twelve. They even appear in my first ever published short story, and something about this anthology made me want to bring them back. I originally came up with them as super hero characters in the MMORPG City of Heroes, and they became quick favorites of mine. Milton was a scientist, always experimenting on himself and going wild with power, and he would 110% be the type to attempt to make a creature fitting the name “Sharkasaurus.”
Featuring the short story: “La Juno Pier.”
I’ve always found crustaceans fascinating. That and hokey towns with an overwrought aesthetic. Like I will always go to a Rainforest Café or a Margaritaville. So the idea of a town that’s whole deal is crabs and the only things they sell are crab themed… I had to do it to them.
Featuring the short story: "Better Living Through Chemistry.”
My first short story that I got published was at the age of thirteen. I remember going around my middle school and telling anyone who would listen about it. But, like so many things that we do at thirteen, I can’t read it without cringing. Still, very proud of myself for writing this, and getting it out there.
